Is Gratitude the best feel good factor?
Lets be honest…we all like a good moan!
Abundance of beauty
Beauty does exist every where but sometimes we just forget to look for it. We take the familiar for granted. We might find it in reflections of modern architecture, we might find it in a delicious plate of food . We will always find in the face of our child and in the natural world. But…how often do we take time to appreciate this priceless and never-ending stream of visual delight? How often do we feel truly grateful? Not only for tangible objects, but for thoughts and emotions, friends and the pets we might share our lives with
I have just been to Venice, Italy and I am constantly dumbfounded by the beauty of that city. Even when it was heaving down with rain, we were soaking wet and cold it just couldn’t dampen my passion. A passion that re-ignites every time I am lucky enough to visit this magical city. I was so excited to be there and just absorbing everything that is Venice. The mind is SO powerful I can bring the tastes – oh the food in Venice is sooooo good- and sounds and the extraordinary feeling of being somewhere that just shouldn’t be possible. It is magical beyond sensibility! That sweeping feeling that seems to filter to our very core, now that is my definition of gratitude
“Gratitude unlocks the fulness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house to a home, a stranger into a friend.”
Kindness can be shown as form of gratitude.
Show it yourself and to others. I am a past master of beating myself up. I have learnt to accept where I am, make amends if need be and move on. Grudges are futile and actually only destroy the person holding them. The past must be laid to rest.
It is impossible to experience Gratitude and a negative moment simultaneously
Gratitude is a feeling of now- of the present. You can’t experience true gratitude and a negative emotion at the same time. It’s not possible. So gratitude is a great lifter of your vibration, of your true source energy. It makes you appreciate something…it gives it a special personal importance. When our vibration is raised we feel better and in return we attract more of the same back to us. Rock on Gratitude!
Kindness builds bridges.
Kindness builds relationships, it builds trust and builds the most powerful support system of friends and worthy colleagues. Make kindness part of your remit on a daily basis. It will make you feel good it will help create your inner happiness. Just be kind because it feels so damn good!
Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough
